Méabh McKenna, harpist and superb vocalist, graduated from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama with a BMus in Music Performance in 2018. She has been performing in some respect since she was a child, and is a haunting, unforgettable musician.
She has performed with artists such as Lisa Hannigan, John Sheahan and Colm Mac Con Iomaire, and regularly performs and records with contemporary ensemble, Sfiiinx.

As a soloist she has performed with the TU Dublin Chamber Choir, and in venues such as the Pepper Canister Church, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Kilkenny Castle, the Georgian Society, Trinity College, Maynooth Cathedral, and for the launch of the Brian Boydell Centenary Conference in 2017. She has performed and lead workshops on Irish music internationally with the TU Dublin Harp Ensemble. Méabh has played with groups such as the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, CDCO, TU Dublin SO, Trinity Orchestra, the NYO, DSO, UYO and in the ‘Concert for Paris’ event that took place in 2015 in St Patrick’s Cathedral.
In 2018 she attended the Jazz Harp Immersion Course in Brazil on a scholarship awarded by the International Jazz Harp Foundation. She is based in Dublin and works as a freelance performer, and teaches part time in Athenry Music School. She had held the position of resident harpist to the 5 Star Merrion Hotel since 2017. She has recently recorded with modern artists such as Maija Sofia and Baby Witch, and took part in a performance piece with artist Maïa Nunes in the Hugh Lane Gallery in February 2019.
